Rio Grande Regional Hospital was duly thanked for the participation in allowing us to meet in their educational meeting room. They also provided snacks to all who attended.

This meeting was one in which we shared some of our experiences with diabetes. One of our members has just found out that she is pregnant and is thoroughly pleased and another just had her pump in place. One of our new members is a woman who has had diabets for 48 years and has gone through bipass heart surgery. Another member injects up to five times a day and is perfectly satisfied with her control.

These are just a few of the topics discussed. We would welcome anyone who would like to join us in the future. Our meetings will be held on the 3rd Thursday of every month exluding the month of December. Everyone agreed that we had too many events during this month and will contine on January 18, 2001.
